At Gathering Hope House, we have been providing support to our members for several years, and we have witnessed the alarming health disparities experienced by underrepresented population groups. To address this issue, we are launching a year long mental health and resource program called  "Prioritizing US" in collaboration with community members and local mental health experts. Our mission is to bridge the gap in mental health services and ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, has access to the care and support they need.

"Prioritizing US" is a program that offers regular weekly meetings for underrepresented minority populations in Lorain County. These meetings will address the unique challenges these groups face in accessing mental health services and provide valuable information and resources to overcome these barriers. We believe that by focusing on psychoeducation, group discussions, and hands-on activities, we can increase knowledge, reduce stigma, and improve access to mental health and substance abuse services.
